Coffee Free to Designated Drivers
We really appreciate all of you who come to the winery just to drive your friends. We would love to brew you up a cup of java for free when you let us know that you're a designated driver. It is our way of saying, "Thank you for keeping all of our happy customers safe"!
Chicken & Orzo Soup: Heisenberg
Ingredients
5 1/2 cups chicken broth
2 cloves garlic
1 small onion-diced
1 lb chicken sausage(rolled into 1 inch balls)
3 tbsp ex-virgin olive oil
1 cup orzo
1 small bag baby spinach
sea salt & freshly cracked pepper to taste
Directions
Cook orzo al dente in a large pot of salted boiling water & drain about 8 minutes-rinse under cold water.
In a medium sauce pot, brown the chicken meatballs in olive oil about 5 minutes- remove meatballs from pot leaving oil. Add onion & garlic to oil saute till onion carmelizes- about 3 minutes (moderate flame).
Add chicken broth, simmer and season with salt and pepper. Add meatballs and cook through about 5 minutes. Add baby spinach and orzo- cook till the spinach is wilted.
Serve while hot with a sprinkling of parmesean cheese. Serves 4
Suggested Angeli Wine
Heisenberg- It's crisp & light with a hint of citrus.
